Our 'Little Man' Has Turned One!!!

On Thursday, 21 October, 2010, Michael Jethro G. Scott turned one

year old. There was also a birthday bash held in his honor, and it was fabulous! Everyone had a blast! We feel that in order to honor our 'Little Man' for making great leaps in advancement over the last year we would show you his progress.

A lot has changed over the last year. Jet has gone from being a baby to being a big boy.

Things that he has learned in his first year:

How to Crawl

He learned to Walk at 10 months 1 week

Say things like 'Mama' 'Mommy' and 'Addy' for Daddy

Say No more(by shaking his finger)

Blow kisses

Nod his head

Shake his head

Send text messages(He actually sent me a text with 'Mj' his initials)

Call people on a cell phone

Use a computer and mouse

Use a remote

Turn Electric Fan on and off

Climb chairs, couches, stairs, and people

Knock(with a fist)

Feed himself with a bottle

Drink from a straw

Stand in a hammock/swing and stroller

Hold a spoon the proper way

Pose for the camera

Give Hugs, Kisses, and Massages

Scratch a person's back

Play voice tricks with the electric fan(like Chris Farley in 'Tommy Boy')

How to Sing(even a major triad ascending and descending with proper pitch!)

How to Dance

Give a 'High Five'

Say Baby

Say Bye bye (with wave included)

Be a chorus director

We've been terrible at updating our blog lately, if you haven't noticed. We've been busy with life, and most especially with Jet. We are going to try to update this blog more often(hopefully).

Oops!

I can imagine a lot of you are wondering what happened to us...

Since bringing our Little Jet home we've become very busy. Jonah started teaching online again (she teaches English to Koreans), she now has 10 students so it takes up a lot of time. I applied for work and was hired, now I've been working for a couple of weeks. I work in the BPO (business process outsourcing) industry, which is more commonly referred to as the call center industry. I do foundation/English training for all those who are prospective hires. People who have gone through the recruitment process and are potential employees will go through a two to three week training course, which is done by myself and a few others. After that they either pass and are hired, or fail and told to work on improving and try again. In between both of our jobs we need to take care of an extremely energetic baby that refuses to sleep during the day and insists on being played with all the time. He is just an absolute bundle of energy, and we love it.

Jethro's blessing was this December, and it was a great day for us here.

We had the holidays come and go (with the exception of New Year's Day, which is tomorrow), and did much with the family here in the Philippines.

Now, things are beginning to settle down into a regular routine, and therefore we have a little more time to focus on things like this blog. We've taken hundreds of pictures since the last ones we posted. We obviously need to post them here on the blog for all to see. However, time is not quite yet that open. It may be in the next few days that we get some pictures up on here, but you never know what's waiting around the corner. So, don't get your hopes up just yet. Nonetheless, life is good, and life is happy.

I had so much fun editing that I decided to do some more. This is for my brother Jon who liked the original 'rock legend' picture.

Our little Jet is all growed up and singing in concerts.

Touched by an Angel

A few months ago I was guided by a friend to a great website called aviary.com. It is basically a suite of creative software such as a picture editor, vector editor, music editor, etc. that is browser based. Best of all, its all free. So, I've done some playing around on it from time to time, pretending like I have creative talent. Since the post yesterday I got to thinking, "Why should I leave this great image to the imagination when I can bring it to life." So, I set out to bring Jethro to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. After a little bit of editing it seemed convincing enough to share to the world. So, I now unveil to you...'Touched by an Angel' a tribute to the Sistine Chapel...

First Week Home

Little Jet has been so active for his first week home. Naturally as parents we believe that our baby is the cutest on earth, so we've been snapping pictures like crazy. Its been hard choosing which ones to upload here on blogger, but we can't put them all up...that would be way too many. So, we've put together a little collection of our favorites from Jethro's first week home.
